  Much new information about employee ownership in October 2006. We made a selection of 25 remarkable articles in 6 countries: Australia, France, Ireland, Jamaica,  South Africa, USA.
Australia: Direct voting enables shareholders to vote without attending or appointing a proxy.
France: Euronext is going to launch the French Employee Ownership Index. A number of comments about the new legislation for employee ownership and participation: a "rendez-vous raté"? Eiffage's employee shareholders in strategic position.
Ireland:  Just being privatised, air company Aer Lingus faces take over by Ryanair. Employee ownership in a strategic position. 
Jamaica: Promoting employee ownership in the framework of the Management Institute for National Development.
South Africa: Trade unions promoting employee ownership.
USA: SAIC - one of the biggest employee-owned company in the world (43.000 workers) decided to go public – it's done now. Apache's sale to Dexter illustrates employee-owned firms' drive to grow through acquisition.
